The Florin Road Foundation is a California non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation affiliated with the Florin Road Partnership. The Florin Road Foundation was formed by business and property owners in 1998 to support community social and economic activities. The Foundation serves community programs that are beyond the mission of the Florin Road Partnership. The Foundation is governed by an elected board of directors. Daily operations are managed by two volunteer staff members from the Partnership.

The Florin Road Foundation provides financial support to the Florin Road area in the form of scholarships to local students and mini-grants to organizations seeking to improve the social fabric of the community.

  1. The Foundation is an efficient and tax deductible way to support and strengthen the local community.

  1. Contributors are freed from the time consuming tasks of sorting through competing requests for limited funds and administering their own local donations.

  1. The Florin Road Partnership underwrites nearly all administrative costs so a larger percentage of donations go directly to worthy recipients.

  1. Contributors of $500 or more may elect to have "named" scholarships and grants.

  2. The Foundation "gives back" by supporting the community that supports our businesses.

Our 2011 Scholarship Winners

Since September 1998, the Florin Road Foundation has raised over $267,000 for local programs. This amount includes money from private and business donations, fundraising events, and corporate grants.

In 2009, the Foundation began participating in several new fundraising programs.

Two of these are scrip programs provided by Raley's/Bel Air/Nob Hill Foods/Food Source and by SaveMart/FoodMaxx/Lucky supermarkets.

Shoppers simply present their scrip card when making purchases and the stores then make a donation to us. There is no charge to the customer for participating in this program. Complimentary scrip cards are available from our office.

Our other new fundraising program is an Internet shopping portal through iGive.com. Whether browsing or buying, cyber-shoppers can rack up donations to the Foundation at no extra cost to them. A free account takes just moments to setup.

The Foundation also became a Google Affiliate to earn advertising fees in support of our programs.  Shop Sears.com through the link below at no extra cost to you.
